Bello Modo's Shipping Policy
Being beaders ourselves, we know what it's like to need (or want!) something to start or finish a project and have to wait for it to arrive, so we make every effort to process and ship your order within 1-3 days from the receipt of your order, not including weekends. Our staff does not work weekends, though I do come in and answer questions and work a bit. Of course, holidays and busy shipping seasons, can, unfortunately, add delays, so please allow extra time for your order to arrive if you have placed your order around a holiday or busy time such as a big sale.
We are located in Western Washington, in Olympia, so if you live on the East Coast you can figure 1st class mail will take 5-7 days to arrive, more if a holiday falls in the same time space. Orders from the West Coast can take from 2 to 4 days again, figuring for weekends and holidays, and something in the middle for people in the middle of the country.
We ship free using 1st class postage, with a minimum $25.00 order to all orders from within the USA, including Puerto Rico.
If you desire to receive your order faster, we can arrange for Priority or Expedited Mail, just add a note in your customer comments box or send us an email letting us know that you'd like to ship using that method.
PLEASE NOTE: Returns due to our fault must be sent via 1st class mail. We cannot reimburse for UPS or Priority shipments unless that is the way we sent it to you.
The base price for shipments to Canada is now $9.50 and for all other international orders it is $13.06. This covers the base fee, generally 5 ounces. We will contact you with the actual shipping fee, and insurance cost. You are welcome to refuse insurance, we offer it as it's hard or impossible to track international packages and if a package goes missing it's nice to be able to replace it, but without insurance we cannot replace it. This includes orders to Canada.
When you consider the costs involved in getting an order to Canada or the EU I reccomend placing an order in the $50.00 neighborhood to make the shipping value wiork out for you. Small orders still have to pay that minimum rate and it can increase the cost of your items by a lot so please consider this when you are ordering.
Please make sure your email and phone number are included and accurate so we can contact you if we need ask for payment for extra shipping fees or insurance fees. Customs fees and any taxes charged by your country are your responsibility.
Currently, the site does not give you an option to purchase insurance but we encourage you to consider it especially for overseas shipments as we cannot be responsible if it the package goes missing enroute. Insurance costs only a few dollars. We will offer you the option and let you know what it would cost if you should choose to purchase it.

Please Note: Items that are cut to order are not returnable, and if we have cut them for you they cannot be cancelled.
A note about Insurance
We purchase insurance through Endicia as its more affordable and very efficient. There are rules about using it, primarily claims must be started 30 to 89 days after shipping. Before or after will not be accepted. There is am email affidavit that you the customer will need to fill out and send and one we need to send and then it takes maybe 10 days to get approved then we can reship or if you prefer a refund we can do that once the check arrives, usually another week or two. We have never had a bad experience with the company in 12 plus years, though to be honest, in all those years we have filed mabe at the most 10 claims.
Our website has no place to purchase insurance on it so if you desire insurance on a domestic package please comment during checkout, want insurance and we will send a paypal invoice for it, or call for payment. We always include insurance on international packages as that is generally where packages go missing. Rarely do packages go asray in the USA.
How Bello Modo Handles Returns
Our goal is to have a long-term relationship with you and with that goal in mind we want you to be satisfied with your order. If for any reason you are not happy, you may return your order, or any part of it, within 30 days for a store credit minus 15% restocking fee, if it is not due to a mistake on our part. We are sorry to have to institute this policy, however the high costs of shipping and administrative costs have forced us to make this policy. If your return lowers the order total to below the free shipping total of $25.00 we will take the 2.99 shipping fee out of the return. We cannot shoulder the whole expense of shipping for any order under $25.00.
Exceptions to Returns Policy:
What is a special order? Any item that has to be ordered in for you, such as a quantity of seed beads that we do not have in stock, a large quantity of a finding, book, tool etc. Not sure, please ask as we are happy to help. 360-357-3443 or firstname.lastname@example.org
In order to return a product, we need to know the Order Number on your invoice and we ask that you write it on the outside of the package.
When returning items, please include on a piece of paper or a copy of the original invoice, what you want us to do when we receive your return. Generally we apply a store credit for returned items, then you can place a new order for the item that you want, using your credit to pay for it.

How Bello Modo Handles Losses and Damages
If your package is lost or damaged in shipping we will do everything we can to assist you with this.
We cannot be responsible for the package after it leaves our shop, but we will do everything we can to assist with the postal authorities.
If your package was insured then we will handle the insurance claim, and send replacements once the claim has been established. If your package was damaged we need to know about it right away, within 5 days of receipt and you need to retain the shipping and packaging materials to show to the post office if necessary.
