Venus Jasper is mined in Mexico, sometimes referred to as Orbicular Rhyolite. It takes its name from the neighboring planet of Venus, which was named for the Roman goddess of love and beauty.
The lovely variety of golden, soft rose, and subtle blue-grey tones echo both the swirling clouds of the planet nicknamed "Morning Star" as well as the first light of dawn, making this an ideal stone to use for jewelry making.
Metaphysically jasper is a stone used for grounding and stability, strength and healing.
