I was disappointed with the wire in that the coating comes off really easily when you work on it with your metal pliers. I was advised to use nylon pliers when working with this kind of plated wire. If you are using metal pliers you have to be extra gentle to it. The color of the wire does match the Vintaj products though! Editor's Note: The wire color is enameled on, so if you are using uncoated or bare metal tools and scrape the wire it can reveal the copper base wire underneath the enamel. Test it first, to get to know how much force you can use, and if possible use either coated tools and or nylon jawed pliers. as for the color, I think it does match but its possible Diana got a spool from a darker batch. It is shiny and Vintaj is not so that may be the difference...

For me this wire is great, I have made earwires with it, I've hammered it and twisted it, never had a problem, I use it alot. True it is shiny, unlike Vintaj brass, but it matches beautifully. I have purchased 4 rolls in different sizes, its great. Thanks.. Rating: [5 of 5 Stars]
