They can also serve as great portable looms! The top and bottom beams are large enough to provide enough distance between the back and front wraps to allow for easy insertion of your hands. The fold-out legs stand the looms firmly on a flat surface. The shedding device (which is standard on all but the Laniloom) works better than any other on the market and requires a flick of one hand to lock it in place. The warping system is based on a very old technique that assures the selvedge threads will not become loose or baggy while also providing a handy bar with which to advance the weaving.
