Iron Zebra Jasper is a relatively new material to the market and most likely gets its name from the banding that resembles similar patterns in Mexican Zebra Jasper. The colors are determined by the content of iron or hematite that exists in the stone. We feel it closely resembles certain types of petrified trees found in the Northwest United States, but it is all stone. Every blend of color and distinct pattern makes each and every bead unique to itself, great for that one-of-a-kind jewelry design.
