We recently sent out a newsletter advertizing a Miyuki Seed Bead Sale, and we got a lot of attention over it. Then towards the end we heard from people who did not get the newsletter and were disappointed to find out about the sale too late. We are updating and adding new things every day, like Heather Powers beautiful polymer clay beads , or Tierra Cast charms & buttons, links, and findings . We have finally been getting them listed with pictures too!

Vintaj has recently added several new styles of chain and a couple of new pendants, and a really cool filigree piece that can be used to make rings.

We have a new size of C-lon now, a thicker cord that is very popular with micro macrame fans! We offered it for the first time at the Puget Sound Bead Festival last month and it sold out immediately! It is a size .9mm beading cord, with a breaking strength of approx. 75 lbs. and comes in bobbins of 43 yards per bobbin. 16 colors are now available. Its not listed yet but will be shortly, so stay tuned or give us a call and we can help you with it.

There are also more colors in the Micro Cord , a thin beading cord with 320 yards per bobbin. 32 colors are now available. It has a breaking strength of 11lbs, and is approx. 0.12mm thick. This one is popular to use for detailed micro macrame, stringing with small-hole beads, crochet with 11s and 15s, etc.

The biggest change on the site this summer has been all the updating and expanding in the seed bead department. We have stocked up the site with loads of Japanese Seed Beads and Heavy Metal Seed Beads will be appearing next.

Vintaj Natural Brass™

Fun, functional and amazingly adaptable, this collection of natural brass includes many styles and motifs, from art deco and filigree to fantastic animals and plants. Imaginatively crafted in intricate detail using techniques like raised-relief repousse and fine-line etching.

The nickel-free brass glows with a natural caramel color achieved without plating or chemical treatment. Each piece goes through a seven step process, ending up with a warm, hand finished patina, a warm, pleasing neutral that blends well with many other colors and metals. We love how these versatile natural brass findings are perfect for layering or linking together in unique ways.

Delicas Galore

We are proud to offer the full line of Miyuki's Delica seed beads, in both sizes 11/0 and 8/0, and now we carry the full selection of the new size 10/0 Miyuki Delicas! We totally updated the listings to include a discount schedule for each color so you can buy in quantity and save money.

We think the new, slightly larger 10/0 size are a welcome addition to the Miyuki's line, and expect them to be very popular with jewelry makers, bead sculptors, teachers and students.

We also carry almost the entire line of Miyuki's Rocaille (Round) seed beads, cube beads, triangle beads, bugle beads, drop beads, and 10 Twist 2-cuts that Miyuki makes. We are adding new styles to the website every day, so check back if you don't see what you are looking for as we have many that are not up on the site yet!

We think that Miyuki makes some of the highest quality of all the Japanese beadmakers, and we think you will agree too. Consistent size and centered holes make for hardly any culls. Try a few out and see for yourself!

Golem Studios

Lovely ceramic beads and pendants made by Vladislav and Kremena Ivanova, who live in Veliko Tarnovo,in Bulgaria. They have been working as a team and a company since 2000, making their beads and pendants by hand. Exacting and labor intensive methods assure that the beads are consistent yet artful and beautiful.

Living where they do, on a crossroads between Europe and Asia, they have developed eclectic interests and tastes, which are reflected in the unique style of their work. Although the beads and pendants cannot be associated with any specific national tradition or style, they incorporate patterns taken from a variety of ancient and contemporary art forms, some of which remind me of North Coast Indian imagery.

We will continue to build our stock of their products over the next couple of months.
